The Seine Musicale and Île Seguin
Opened in 2017 on the former Renault island, the Seine Musicale, designed by Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines, looks like a vessel of wood and glass crowned by a moving solar sail. It hosts classical concerts, pop evenings and musicals in two acoustically renowned halls. People arrive early to enjoy the Belvédère garden and the rooftop bar. A music date on the island breaks with a classic café and gives you a real topic to talk about.
Albert-Kahn Museum and gardens
By the Seine, the Albert-Kahn departmental museum, reopened in 2022 after a renovation designed by Kengo Kuma, tells the story of the Archives de la Planète project launched by the banker patron. Its garden brings together a Japanese garden, an English garden, a blue forest and a meadow in a single space, for a stroll that changes at every step. A fine idea for a calm date, walking in silence then talking at length.
Rothschild Park and the Vieux-Pont area
A few minutes’ walk away, Rothschild Park offers a wooded oasis of six hectares around a former Napoleon III bandstand. Not far off, the pedestrian streets around Vieux-Pont-de-Sèvres and Place Bir-Hakeim concentrate restaurants, bars and cinemas. On Lyad, members from Boulogne share their favourite spots; it is up to you to find someone to join for the first drink after the film.
